Personnel West holds a firm commitment to finding the right job in the right organisation to meet your individual needs. We believe that all people with a disability have a right to work in open employment regardless of the type or severity of their disability.
You play a central role in the planning of your own career! We work with you to establish realistic employment goals and options. We do this through a structured Pre-Employment Program that includes the development of a person Employment Assistance Plan (EAP).
The EAP describes:
- Your top 3 employment preferences
- The number of hours or shifts that would suit you per week
- The type of work you would like to do
- Any barriers in achieving your goals
- Solutions to overcoming these barriers
- A Disclosure statement – how you would like us to describe your disability when job searching
- The type and level of support you might require in work
- Any possible work trials that you may consider
- We continue to provide quality on and off the job support to job seekers with intellectual, sensory, physical, neurological and psychiatric disabilities.
